Wake Me Up When September Ends

Question Posted Saturday October 1 2005, 5:16 pm

In school, i have to do a project by finding out the meaning of a song. I picked Green Day's Wake Me Up When September Ends. I know that the song is a bout how Bille-Joe's father died and all, but, i still don't understand one verse. What does the verse :ring out the bells again like we did when spring began" mean? I rate high!

It simply means that he's remembering all the good times him and his father shared; all the memories are coming back to him. I love that song. It's amazing! Great pick :)
