my best friend and i have been friends for 7 years. best friends. since 2nd grade. taylor [my bff] used to live across from lauren. taylor reccently moved, just 5 minutes away, we still all go to the same school. for so long, lauren thinks she\'s taylor\'s best friend. she\'s the third wheel, and i feel bad. we sometimes get in fights about it all, cause she needs to face reality and realize that taylor isn\'t her best friend. it makes me mad, though, when they hang out or do stuff together. it\'s not that often that they do. but taylor, her friend mike, and lauren all talk on the phone sometimes. my grandma was sick and i was upset and i wanted to talk to someone, so i called taylor, and she was too busy with them to even talk to me! i get so jealous when she even talks to someone else on the phone. i feel like i\'m losing my best friend to a girl that we both know isn\'t her best friend. lauren even tries to dangle it right in front of my face \"talking on the phone with princess taylor!\" sorry for the length of this, haha. anyways, to summarize this up - do you think i should just give up and find a new best friend? i try to talk to taylor about this and it really doesn\'t solve anything, because she just reminds me that we\'re still best friends. is it wrong for me to be a little jealous? what can i do to help from being so jealous? now i feel like i'm sometimes the third wheel!

First of all, I think you are over reacting about this. You are acting like Taylor can't have any other friends besides you. It's not wrong to get jelous sometimes, but you just have to relize you shouldn't. You know she is your best friend and you won't loose her if she is friends with Lauren. Lauren tries to make you jelous, and don't take it so personaly. You won't loose Taylor as your best friend. Instead of getting mad, maybe you should all hang out together. I think the reason they won't do anything about it is because you are over reacting and it's really no big deal, but I can understand where you are comming from. Just hang out with them. I think this problem is caused by your jelousy. Just don't worry about it and don't look for a new best friend because you will regret that. I mean you've known each other for 7 years! If you all hang out together.. no one will feel like a third wheel. Just try to accept Lauren.
