I hope you understand now! good luck! x0x [ x0blu3eyedbeautyx0's advice column | Ask x0blu3eyedbeautyx0 A Question ]

Subtract 7.45x from both sides. That leaves -8.81 = 5.29 + (9.47 - 7.45) x Let's just call (9.47 - 7.45)x as y. So now -8.81 = 5.29 + y Subtract 5.29 from both sides, and you wind up with -8.81 - 5.29 = y Do the actual mathy part yourself you lazy bum! Just kidding... hope I helped! xXxpinky615xXx answered Wednesday September 28 2005, 5:06 pm: You need to try to get x onto one side. So here are the basic steps starting with the whole problem
7.45x - 8.81 = 5.29 + 9.47x
Add 8.81 on left side to cancel it out, and then add it to the other side.
