okay, so my really close guy friend, david known him since i was in 5th grade- i want to go to homecoming with him real bad! i'm kinda going with this other guy which i dont like, and i dunno if it's for sure yet. but my friend doesn't want to go, OR pay for it! and i've been trying to convince him that it'll befun and SO many people are going up to him and saying to go, but he really doesn't want to pay for it. and then... i said i would pay for it, but he doesn't want me to pay for it, because then he'll feel bad if i paid it (he's really gentlemanish lol). so, what can i do to convince him to go?

tell david that you really like him and it would really make you happy if he went and ask him if you are allowed to pay for him and then he can pay you back.
plus tell him that theres only one chance for homecoming and that he can go with you!

Get this friend alone and tell him that you would really like to go with him and that it would mean a lot to you if he would go. (You need to do the asking in this case). Don't beg him or pester him at all, this won't make things better. Ask him this one last time then ask him to get back to you. [ TexasChick1104's advice column | Ask TexasChick1104 A Question ]
