LadyGoodman answered Monday September 26 2005, 12:14 am: You're never going to get to live in that time, so really you just have to accept the time you live in. If you have a special interest in it, it never hurts to research it and get into the stuff that was popular during that time.
Plus, if you think about it, the world has always had its disadvantages. People romanticize the past because they didn't live in it. Would you really want to live through the age of McCarthyism? People tend to forget about the bad stuff. [ LadyGoodman's advice column | Ask LadyGoodman A Question ]
karenR answered Sunday September 25 2005, 10:44 pm: I know the feeling. I should have lived back in the pioneer days. Don't know why it was probably awful.
All teens go through a period of trying to fit in. It is perfectly normal. If you love the 50's there is nothing wrong with that. Listen to the music, use the fashions of the day to make up your own funky style. ;) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
