Hey,
Get a star gaze in five easy steps
To copy the bevy of celebs sporting smoldering eyes on the red carpet, stay away from blue hues -- which can make you look like you have undereye circles, says Giorgio Armani makeup artist André Drykin. Instead, go for black, gray, brown or if you want "color," dark green shadows and liners. Then, follow these steps:
1. Apply a cream concealer over your eyelid to create a smooth base for your eyeshadow.
2. Use a pencil liner (black or gray looks best) to trace your top lashline from the inner corner to the outer. Then, use the same pencil to dot between your lower lashes. Smudge both lashlines with a cotton swab or an eyeliner brush.
3. Sweep powder shadow (brown, gray and dark green all work with black or gray liner) over your lid and into your crease, blending the color up and outward, says New York City makeup artist Morgen Schick DeMann. Marie Claire recommends: Morgen Stained Glass Eye Wash in Spruce; Shiseido The Makeup Eye Shadow Brush; Cover Girl Perfect Blend Pencil in Basic Black; Origins Full Story Lush-Lash Mascara in Black.
TIP: To prevent color from fading and give your lids a more shimmery finish, pat a cream shadow over the concealer on your lid first, wait five minutes, then top with a matching powder shadow.
4. Dust a lighter, neutral eyeshadow (such as ivory) over just your browbone.
5. Finish with two coats of black mascara.
Good Luck,

For fair skin use a taupe color. It defines your eyes but doesn't look harsh on you.
- Dust shadow on your eyelid, then use an angled brush to blend it from the outer corner into your crease.
- Use an eyeliner brush to brush line along your lower lashes
- Line your inner rims and around your eyes then lightly blend

what i do is i use either black, silver, or bronze eyeshadow and you take a brush with a thin, fine edge, and you line the bottoms of your eyes with it and shadow your eyelid with it. then contrast it with whatever lighter color you want!!! ]
Hey
Purple eyeshadow always goes with green eyes but never green eyesadow. To get that smoky effect try applying eyeliner to the top and bottom your eyelids and pak on mascarra with charcole/black eyeshadow on you eyelids and underneith your eyelide(near cheek).Lip gloss is always a winna and powder finish foundation.Oh and always moisterise befor apply bc it helps your skin and works as a foundation base too. ]
The smokey look is done with shades of grey or charcoal or in blues or berries/purple and violet shades. You can keep your black eye liner and black mascara. For the evening you can darken with deeper blues, black (but not if you have a light skin tone) and grays, coupled with false eyelashes for added drama. Now to get the look follow these steps: Step 1. Line top and bottom lashes with cranberry, green or black depending on your eye color. Step 2. Smudge and blend the line so the color smoothly transitions from the lashes. Step 3. Layer an eye shadow of a contrasting or coordinating shade on top of the liner, blending up and out at the outer corner of the eye. (This part is tricky and if not done right will result in that dirty smudged look you hate). I suggest you look for a liner brush or a Q-tip to help you. Step 4. Add a second layer of eye shadow in a lighter shade at the crease of the eye and blend up toward the eyebrow. Trend upward with the color and at an angle at the outer corner of your eye, like "Cat eyes" without as much drama. Step 5. Add your Mascara for the final touch.

I found this on a website, hopefully it will help you.

Prep eye so that makeup won't melt during the evening. There are lots of products on the market that you won't be able to live without. Ask at your favorite cosmetic counter if you need help choosing.
The crease is very important to the smokey eye and it needs special attention. With a taupe colored shadow, or a mixture of gray and brown, pick up a small amount (to begin), and work it into the crease area. Continue until the area is well defined, with lots of attention to the blending process. Remember, the look we are after is smokey.
Using the same color, sweep it around the corner and beneath the lashes to bring attention to this part of the eye. Taper off as you move closer to the inside corner of the eye.
Liner is next on the agenda and you will want to smudge it deeply into the lashes.
Placement of the liner depends on your eyeshape, but you can try completely surrounding your eyes with liner. If you find that suddenly you seem to have tiny eyes, pull back from completely encircling the area. The outer corners of top and bottom might be all you need.
With your favorite mascara, coat lashes so that they play up the darkness of the eye area. Several coats might be necessary. ]
