Worried.

Question Posted Thursday September 22 2005, 9:03 pm

My Mom & Dad are having problems. Atleast that's what my Mom said. My Dad is worried about money issues and is mad at my Mom for not having a stable job (she helps the hospice with living assistence and doesn't get solid hours) He's also worried about my Mom's heart procedure coming up. She's getting her heart..."zapped"..I guess you could say..And he won't talk to me anymore. He shows no emotion other than anger. When he goes out he just leaves without saying where he is going. And he totally favors my sister, even though he says he doesn't. For my birthday this summer (august), he didn't get me anything. And my sister's birthday is in March..and he just recently bought her TWO electric guitars...and she doesn't even play!!! I just get so mad around him and I want him too atleast talk to me...at my softball game I got a homerun and he didn't say anything. I just don't know what too do anymore. =-/

You should defenatly confront him, I don't know if he will listen but if he does do it calmly. you maybe should talk to your sister to. She might be able to ask your dad why he favours her. This is wrong and you have to sort it out If you have any other problems you can always E-mail me back and I will try my best to answer your question. from the advice chick

wow i am sooo sorry! i no its hard when you feel like a parent doesnt love you. every girl loves her dad no matter what age she is..and sometimes when life turns bad its hard because you feel like youve lost everything and you just have to hang in there. maybe sit down with your dad and CALMLY explain to him how you feel. tell him you love him and you want to spend more time with him and that he and your mom are starting to worry you. parents understand. well hope that helps!

Honestly, I don't know what to say but I can't stand seeing something this important sit up there with no answer. I'd suggest talking to your school counsler because what is going on is an extreme form of abuse, and it's very wrong.
