tampons and sex

okay well heres the deal

i use condoms sometimes... but you see theres this peice of skin in my vagina that goes over the tip of the tmpon and sometimes it gets stuck! and it really hurts to get it out. okay so my question is when you have sex i hear that you tear and piece of skin... so uhm wear exactly is it and how bad does it hurt? cuz if its the same thing i think it will hurt to much to have sex, and my boyfriend is getting anxious.
