experiment I did an experiment, and the result was that grapefruit juice caused steel wool to rust the fastest. Can anybody tell me why? I've been looking so hard, but i can't find anything. Any help, and i'll give yu a 5<3

Hmmm... my science knowledge is fading fast so you can't take this as fact. I know rust is caused by oxidation but i THINK that the pH level of a substance might affect rust levels. Also, salt water causes rust much faster than regular water- is it possible that the grapefruit contained higher salt levels than the other things you tried? Sorry if this is all rubbish- like I said, my science lessons finished long ago. ]
