?confused about him?
There's this boy that was in all my classes last year (in the 7th grade). Jock. Jerk. Popular. Biggest S.O.B. to walk the earth. Everyone liked him, but I loathed him. He would make fun of how unpopular and "weird" I was, he'd laugh with his scruffy friends during French whenever I made a mistake, he'd even call me bad names sometimes. So I got even with him and stole his baseball hat, and hid it, and laughed and made fun of him whenever he made a fruitless attempt to find it. I didn't even get in trouble! After a while, he found the hat. This year, he suddenly started being nice to me. He gave me compliments, started sending me IMs, etc. I was nice back, and in a suttle way we became friends, but I didn't forget how much of an asshole he was last year. Friday, this guy I barely know told me that he (the boy) said I was really hot and nice. I'm confused. Do you think he likes me or he's just scared I'll steal his hats?

in a way people learn that the people they have made fun of they might really like but they don't want to take the time to get to know you now he has gotten to know you he may like you so just give him a chance

That happened to me..
It could either be a really really cruel joke (but something like that takes a lot of planning to get away with)
or Most likely he likes you.
Even though there's a 99% chance he likes you and changed.. there's this one percent that could actually happen.. so don't get head-over-heels yet because he probably changed.. but just in case he didn't
PEople in the 7th grade are immature.. so if he ends up liking you just forget that that ever happened because he did make an effort to change and he did.
So I'd just wait it out and see what happens.. but let him make the first move just in case of the 1%.

He definately likes you!!! Boys in 7th gr are immature and they "tease" you if they like you. That's happened to me MANY times before. But they grow up and act more mature so he prolly just got over himself and realized he liked you so if I were you I would pretend that the crap that happened last yr didn't happen and just start over bc he seems to generally like you!! Hope it works out! Love yah!

I think he likes you. No clue why, but guys act all jerky and weird to get the girls attention. That's what I've heard anyway. IT'S FREAKING ANNOYING, I know. I'd just be nice to him back and stuff, and wait a little while to see if he does like you. I highly doubt it's all an act, but wait and see what happens.

Well, hmm. I think it's an act, personally. He's probably going to be nice to you for a few months to make it seem like you're good friends and such, then go back to being rude. I don't think he likes you, I think he's trying to pull you into thinking that, then dump it all on you when he goes back to being a jerk. He's just being nice to make sure you don't do anything cruel to him, which proves how much of an ass he truly is.
