A friend of mine (14) is pregnant and I want to know what kinds of things she can/can't do. Like, what foods are best/bad? And what activities should she avoid? Anything that would be a tip to help me be supportive. Thanks!
Most women like to be pampered as of they can't do a thing. That is simply not true. She can more than likely do whatever she wants to do so long as she is comfortable.
I'm sure she will have a lot of emotional ups and downs. Just be there for her to lean on. You'll probably be doing a lot of listening. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

First thing I would like to say is that she should tell her parents.... she may think that they'll be mad with her at first but they are the people that love more than anyone else in the owrld and they'll support her no-matter what she does.
Secondly, I would advise her under NO CIRCUMSTANCES to smoke or drink..... doing either of these thing will damage the baby.
She should also stay away from sushi (raw fush) and mayo (raw egg)
If she is less than 3 months then I would advise her to start taking Folic Acid, this will make the baby stronger.
The best thing she can do is go and see her doctore (gynae), He will be able to give the best advice she can get.... if she is nervous of doing this then tell her you will go with her.
Whatever happens let her know that you are there for her - it really helps.

Anyways, I do not know off hand because I have never been pregnant but there are millions of books about pregnancy just go to Barnes and Noble or the library and get some. Also, she should definitely talk to her doctor about it. You're supposed to go to the doctor all the time when you're pregnant!! [ tasuki's advice column | Ask tasuki A Question ]
xxKillerQueen answered Sunday September 11 2005, 5:08 pm: This is so sad. Well, besides that there are whole websites dedicated to this type of thing; idiots getting pregnant during their teens, if you would just put 'pregnancy tips' in Google. She's 14. Fucking fourteen. And pregnant. And you're wondering how to be 'supportive'? Damn honey, there aint nothin you can do to be 'supportive'. She just threw her life out the freaking window, by getting pregnant now. Wow. I'm shocked. But by being supportive maybe you could, you know, help her barf that baby while she catches up on the geometry homework. Change them diapers while she complains about her bra size or worries about a spot. [ xxKillerQueen's advice column | Ask xxKillerQueen A Question ]
