I'm starting to realize that I'm putting on weight. I am 13 and I weigh about 118 pounds. It's normal but i am getting a large gut ( my stomach slants outwards if you look at me from the sides ) and my thighs are massive. I want to watch what I eat but I don't understand about carbs and calories. How much of each am I supposed to eat and what type can I eat. How many meals do I eat and how many carbs should I have per meal. Please help me.
-sleep 9/10 hrs every day [sleep is important]
-eat a good sized breakfast, if you don't eat breakfast er if it isnt enough, your body will go into starvation mode & you can gain weight er won't lose any
-eat all 3 meals [good for your metabolism]
-eat every 3 hrs if possible, its tricky because they have to be healthy such as fruits, veggies, crackers, etc.
-try to exercise at least an hour, it doesnt have to be a lot either juss simple exercises

how much soda or carbonated beverages do you consume a day? Do eat until you are so full you have to unbutton your pants, or until you are satified?
These are question you need to ask your self.
Soda will definately get you. Cut your intake by half. You should also eat 5 small meals per day.
Make a scheldule for your self for when it is time to have a snack.
Breakfast, snack, Lunch, snack, Dinner. Don't eat after 7 or 8 pm. It will be harder for your food to digest when you go to sleep and will be almost impossible to lose that weight.

Go to www.toneteen.com it gives you details about how many calories, carbs ect. and exersizes to do for stomach legs ect.

All you have to do is watch what you eat. Try to stay away from fast food and sweets. When you want a snack have some vegetables or fruit. Also when you have a meal like dinner have small portions. Then you can have a little bit of everything and not feel so guilty. Try to exercise at least 3 times a week. Go on a walk or ride your bike for 30 min or do some sit-ups. I hope I helped.
