What is a 'Y'? New Yorkers are always talking about them but I don't know what they are.

Perhaps they are talking about the YMCA. I live no where NEAR New York, but they call it a "Y" here also. If they're not talking about the YMCA, perhaps it is a new .. umm .. line of theaters or something. I truly wouldn't know past the YMCA idea. Perhaps you should ask one of them. Sorry this wasn't much help.
