hi, im new at this...
well...ive been cryingg every nightt to bed abd now during the day...
i used 2 cut and i did it for two years and i stopped b/c my parents found out..well ive been crying everyynight to bed and i was curling my hair the other day and i burned myself by accident and when i did i just for some reason burned myself again on purpose and ever since ive been secrectly cutting/burning myself i just hate myself now ..i just dont know what 2 like do or feel i jjust dont wanna be here anymore...

The first step tp your solution would be expressing your true self...by expressing your self i dont mean go telll peope that you are cutting?burning your self...by expressing your self i mean find who you are and what you enjoy...find your passion.....find that one thing that can get your mind off of anything and excell at it...when you find that thing, do that instead of cutting?burning yourself....that way you can try to cut down on that habbit.
the next step to your solution would be admitting what you are doing to one person that you can love and trust not to tell anybody! Once you finnd that person you move on to the next step....
the next step is recording weekley how much you do that to yourself...if you continue doing it weekley you will definatley cut down...when you notice that you are starting to cut down taht =s when you become the most proud...
the final step is instead of cutting/burning , do that little hobby to get your mind off of anything, it will help you relax!
I know that you will succeed , you are a bright beautiful young woman,and i know you can do whatever you put your mind to!

cynicalladvice answered Saturday September 10 2005, 1:03 am: I know you may not want to listen to me, but you need to stop hurting yourself, I know from experince that it only makes it worse, what with the added stress of hiding your scars so you don't get locked up is terrible. Next, you should try to figure out why you've been feeling so bad lately. Have you been having trouble with your parents lately? Did you have a fight woith your best friend? Are you lonely? Whatever the cause is, do what you can to acknowlege and try to fix it. If needed, and if YOU want to, get professional help. It's not worth it to end your life when you have so much of it ahead of you. Remember that it's always darkest before dawn, and tomorrow has a world of possibilities.

Anyways,heres what you do:
-Hang out with your friends more-friends always make you happier
-Go to a doctor,no seriously,do...or a phyciatrist,tell them you think you have clinical depression and ask them to prescribe you something....It sounds to me like your hormones are just out of balance...theres no reason to hate yourself.
-Talk to people more.
-Watch TV that makes you feel good-Comedy Central is perfect.
-Also,a medicine called Saint John's Wort can help ease depression,I suggest taking it.

sbloemeke answered Friday September 9 2005, 4:26 pm: What happened is that your body made morphine each time you cut in high doses, and you got addicted. You recovered, and were fine. Burning did the same effect as cutting, and readdicted you to those doses. Burning is another for of SH, and is directly related to cutting.
All I suggest you to do is tell your parents that you accidentally burned yourself with the curling iron and that triggered you to start cutting again. It worked the first time, it will work now.

Sage answered Thursday September 8 2005, 11:47 pm: the reason you are doing this is because you feel a release with the pain,you are trying to distract yourself from emotional pain with physical pain.When you cut yourself you are releasing endorphins in your body and they make you feel better, but there are other ways.Maybe you feel like you don't have control over anything except hurting yourself.If you have no one to talk to that you can trust,you should start get a notebook and write down everything you wish you could talk about,and everything that causes you pain and get it all out,when u are ready take the pages along with a fire proof bowl to a peaceful place in nature,burn the pages in the bowl and blow all your troubles into the wind.get smart, the only thing they cant take away is what you know.
