Scribble answered Thursday September 8 2005, 9:36 am: Basically your target heart rate zone is the heart rate you're looking to maintain during exercise. The lower your heart rate is out of the zone the less effective the work will be, any higher than your target zone and you might do yourself an injury. In order to find out your THR you'll need to use a THR calculator. Use google to find one on a fitness/health website- they calculate your THR based on your age/fitness/weight etc. The same websites will have exercises that will help you maintain your target. But remember, its not a golden solution, regular, simple exercise can often be best. peace out. [ Scribble's advice column | Ask Scribble A Question ]
