just tell her you bought them. theres no shame in using tampons...more girls prefer them to pads. so dont be ashamed or shy about it. and after all, honesty is the best policy. :)

You're seventeen - you're old enough to use a tampon if you want to. On your next birthday you'll legally be an adult. No one (not even your mom) should question you because you're using tampons. It's really not something to worry about. Most girls I know prefer tampons to pads because you can swim in them, as well as be more free to move and dance etc. Personally I think that a tampon combined with a pantyliner provide more protection and comfort than a pad. I really dislike pads. I do know that some girls are scared of what their moms will think when she finds out they're using a tampon, but it's really not a big deal. Perhaps you could tell her that you want to use tampons so you can be free to swim and such; and they're more comfortable etc. She probably won't complain about it - you are seventeen after all. :)

It's probably not going to be a big deal. You're 17 years old so therefore you choose the way to take care of your body. If you prefer tampons over pads that's solely your decision. Tell her the truth when she asks you about them. Say you thought you'd try them to see if they were better for you. I'm sure she won't freak or anything, tons of young girls these days use tampons. Good Luck!

just tell her that you bought them, dont think your mother would have a problem with it at your age.
