My mom has this huge bump on the crease between her nostral and her face. It's about the size of an ususually large pimple and has a black dot on the top. Is it possibly a blackhead? It looks big for a blackhead. It's not red or anything.
azngemini answered Saturday September 3 2005, 4:12 pm: yeaa.. it's probably a blackhead. they vary in sizes that range from very small, to gigantic. some are even bigger than pimples! what you should tell her to do is, after she takes a shower, when her pores are still open, pop the blackhead. it really works but if you pop it after your pores are closed, it's not going to work at all and it's just going to make it worse.. like it gives you a large brown dot..
the blackhead should go away in a few weeks or so.. but this strategy can make it go away a lot faster if you do it the right way

Often they will grow on other spots and the area where your mother has it is a common place to get them. The blackhead is probably big because it's ready to come out. To do this, gently sqeeze it and it should come out without hurting or scarring. I don't know what the bump is, it's probably just a spot of some kind.
