another question about acne.

Question Posted Thursday September 1 2005, 4:24 pm

Has anyone tried the prescription "Benzaclin" for acne? I really tried everything, proactiv/clean&clear/netrogena/clearasil/etc, and none of them are working, or worked...ever. Almost all of my pimples leave scars, and i have alot of pimples around my t-zone. It brings my confidence down so much cause makeup doesnt even cover it up, and a lot of people always point to it and laugh at me, i know its mean but it makes me feel horrible. ive gotten a prescription before but all it did was burn the hell out of my face so i just stoppped using it after a couple of weeks/months. If anyone has tried this prescription please let me know, and how it worked. I'll have to order it online with a credit card or something because we dont have insurance. thanks soo much.

it actually works really good if you use it. i have it and i have a perscribtion on it butfor soem reason i forget to put it on every night...lol.. but what you should do if nothin has worked for you is see a determatologist and ask them to cut them all off for you. ( and no it wont leave you scars) my mom has done this when she was younger about 10 years ago and it didnt leave her any scars because the doctor gave her antibotics to make it so that it wont leave scars. and when they cut it it doesnt hurt and the WONT come back again or at least there not supposed to.. hope this helps you out.

I've had Benzaclin, and it worked quite well for me, after I washed my face of course.

I suggest you try it!

i personally suggest you see a different dermatologist. there are all kinds of presciptions/antibiotics out there that can help when acne is not than skin deep. makeup makes things worse, over washing isnt good soo please see a professional. good luck and dont let people's teasing get to you. someday theyll see that what your face looks like isnt the most important thing in life. <3
