cheddar answered Thursday September 1 2005, 2:37 pm: my hair is about shoulder length; and because it rests on my shoulders it usually curls up at the ends. i can't understand by your post if you're wanting it to flip-out or not. [ cheddar's advice column | Ask cheddar A Question ]
Laura answered Thursday September 1 2005, 10:11 am: It doesn't have to be a certain length for it to flip out, mine did it when it was at my chin. Get some choppy layers and I suggest buying a flat iron, clamp small pieces of your hair and bend it up, and it works. Or you could use a curling iron, but those burn you VERY easily so be careful. And buy a round hair brush to use when you blowdry your hair.
Razhie answered Thursday September 1 2005, 9:53 am: Not everyone’s hair flips out as it gets longer. Some peoples do it naturally, but it mostly has to do with how you style and brush it. Getting a round brush will help your hair flip, or a large barrel curling iron.
Also, get some layers at the very bottom, with the shorter ones on top and the slightly longer ones beneath. There should be only a very small difference, so the layers are barely noticeable, but that will encourage your hair to flip out away from your face.
