Hi, I'm in the 10th grade and I am interested in playing tennis, can you give me some pointers, like what I need to do to prepare for the try-outs, what are some excercies I need to do? Please help as soon as possible.

The first 3 things you need to have are Motivation, Attitude and Commitment to Tennis. (My coach calls it MAC T) Coaches are not impressed by girls that are just playing for the heck of it. Show that you are really interested by trying your best at everyday of tryouts. You need to get out and start practicing asap. Get a friend to go play with you and spend an hour or so playing. Work on your serve, backhand and forehand. Getting lessons would be a huge help too if you have them available. Also, go talk to the coach if you can before practice starts. Let him/her know that you are really interested in tennis, and ask what you should be working on. Basically you just have to be a good tennis player, and the only way to get there is to practice. So get out there and practice as much as possible! Good luck! Tennis is an awesome sport :-)
