well I'm sorry, I don't know how to do pictures life of yourself and stuff ( because I don't have a webcam or anything so I've never done that before ) but if you want to know how to do like icons and stuff like that, all you have to do is go to an xanga site that has icons, and copy it and then paste it into your xanga entry, but if you want an icon/picture ( like you already saved the picture onto your computer ) then you..
icon- you can either right click the icon, go to "properties", get the URL thing and then paste that where it says "PUT PICTURE LINK HERE" ( i can't remember what it says, but you'll know when you see it ) and stuff.
picture- well since it's already on your computer, you just go to "BROWSE PICTURES" and then click on the picture you want there and then it's URL will pop up there and then you just click,"UPLOAD PICTURE"
