Mmkay, so I'm new at the whole picture phone thing.
I have the choice between a really nice phone, and a digital camera. I want the phone, if and only if I can transfer that pix onto my computer. Is this possible??
shortybabe199 answered Thursday August 25 2005, 9:43 pm: Well that is a tough choice. Here is my advice...
Cell phones are nice, as long as you get a picture phone you can take pictures then add your email address to yur phonebook then send your pictures to your email address and then save the picture to your computer. The only problem with this is it costs money (not sure how much) to send each picture. Also, the pictures wont be as good as if you took the picture with a digital camera.
Digital cameras are also nice. They let you take woundeful pictures and load them on to your computer.

I will tell you that I don't think the pictures are of good quality at all. So, if you are a photography freak as I am you will not be happy with what you get from the phone.
If you just want pictures and don't really mind that most are slightly blurry from movement, then go with the phone.
VainTaraLynn answered Thursday August 25 2005, 4:39 am: My friend recently thought that actually. She had the choice between the two also, and I checked into it and the only way you can transfer pics to your computer with a phone is with a certain kind of Nokia phone. You`ll have to search for that phone, and be sure to get that one if you want to transfer pictures. Also though if you get the camera phone, you can send them to your computer for 25 cents, each. Or get that put on your plan so you can do it. but if you already have a phone, and just want a camera phone then Id go with the digital camera, unless you go to alot of concerts where digi cams and desposable cameras arent allowed, th en id get the camera phone because their great for things like that. iSLAND_iNTHE_SUNx0 answered Thursday August 25 2005, 1:10 am: Yea, you just e-mail them to your e-mail address, and then "save picture as...". I don't know what phone you're getting, but most camera-phones aren't that good quality. Just make sure it has a flash. But with the camera phone you get a phone AND a camera. Just make sure its pretty good quality.

dmbabie answered Thursday August 25 2005, 12:14 am: yes. make sure that you get a picture phone and make sure that your plans allows you to send the pics to either 1) an e-mail address or 2) comes with some type of device (like a wire?) that will let you upload the pics in the computer.
