Graciebaby answered Friday October 7 2005, 11:55 pm: Usually if a child has low oxygen levels they tend to try and breath faster, the nail beds may turn bluish or purple, the lips may turn blue or whitish color. Also a good way to tell is to gently pinch part of their skin not enough to hurt them, if the skin stays white instead of turning back to it's normal color that is another sign of low oxygen levels. I have two children whom have asthma I've had to deal with such things. Low Oxygen is very serious so if you suspect thats what may be happening. Don't go to you're primary doctor, go to the ER immediately. [ Graciebaby's advice column | Ask Graciebaby A Question ]

Also blue lips may be a sign! Again, seek medical advice from a professional [ crazy4him's advice column | Ask crazy4him A Question ]
