my friend

Question Posted Saturday August 20 2005, 4:38 am

Ok so my friend had a guy she barely knew go down on her like 2 months ago...and yesterday she noticed a red bump on her vagina..she was sorta worried about it but wasnt sure if it was an std from the guy or just a bump. If someone transfer an std to you..will symptoms show up right away?

they could show up right away somtimes...and somtimes they can take years....depending on what you expose it to....she most likely has genital herpes

No, the symptoms of an std rarely show up. If your friend did anything sexual with this kid she should first tell a mature adult. Also, she should get tested for an std by a doctor, so that it can be treated. The longer she waits the worse it can get.

Unfortunately, your friend could have an STD and not even know it. This is because some STD's don't even show any outward symptoms at all. I would suggest going to a clinic just to be safe if the bump doesn't go away in a week or so.

good luck- :)

Here are two site links. I really don't think its Genital herpes because it would be more of a blister. Do some reading though so you know what to look for. :)
