Whilst you do have all the symptoms, I think mono is unlikely as it usually delvelops 4-7 weeks after you've been exposed to the virus, and as you both have the symptoms at the same time it's probably just flu. But if you are worried, insist that your mum brings you to the doctor who can confirm what it is (mono can be diagnosed with a simple blood test). In the meantime get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids and let your family spoil you! Hope you're feeling better soon! [ Laurza's advice column | Ask Laurza A Question ]

Otherwise its a case of the flu, its been going around this summer I hear. Drink lots of tea and OJ take two ginseng tablets and call me in the morning. Good luck,
