Higlights in my hair
Hey. Well, I went on you My Space and noticed thatyou had highlights in your hair. I was just wondering, I'm 13/f-African American-with really dark brown, thick hair, and I want to get my hair temporarily highlighted like light brown (Chestnut brown) at a salon. The problem is that my mom said this lady said the highlighting your hair will cut you hair. My mom doesn't know if she was talking about the home kit or at a salon. Does highlighting African American thick, really dark brown (close to black) hair at a salon cut your hair?

to be honest with you i have no clue i dont want to give you the wrong answer but...
one girl at my school has dark brown hair shes African American as well and she got a chesnut color it looked really nice and it didnt not cut her hair but she didnt have thick hair
if you do go to the salon to get highlights just ask them and they will tell you
