Meags227 answered Monday August 8 2005, 12:45 am: Well, when you say "metahexaphosphate" I assume you are talking about sodium metahexaphosphate, otherwise known as sodium hexametaphosphate, or sometimes referred to as a Calgon compound. Either way, it is a fairly common chemical that can be written as (NaPO3)6.
It is important in our community and very helpful, because it is used in water treatment, pulp/paper/textiles treatments, mining/ore processing, refractories and in other industrial and technical applications. But most importantly, it can be found in great-tasting lemonade! Hope I helped!
