i think its just a girl thing, sometimes a girl just needs to cry.
i used to cry a lot for no reason too. sometimes i still do. and i honestly have no idea why. but i'll just try and list a few other things you can do to try and not cry.
dont try and find reasons to cry, just go to bed at a regual time, and try not to think about anything, listening to music or the tv while you go to sleep, and just leave it on if it will take your mind off things.
if you feel like you want to cry, try writing or drawing instead, but if you write, dont write anything that would make you upset or anything.

I use to be a lot like you, up at night crying for no reason, just because I felt like I needed to cry. I felt like I had to cry, just becase I hadn't. Slowly, I stopped somehow and don't even now how I stopped. I think everyone in there life just has to cry. Don't try not to cry, just do it and dont be worried about what other people will think. It doesnt matter if theres any reason, crying just sometimes heals your emotions. HyperactiveMiss answered Sunday July 31 2005, 8:29 pm: Do you cry out of the blue about nothing? Or do you cry about little things you think about? There's a big difference.
If you cry with no reason whatsoever, it's probably just your hormones or whatever. I've had this before when I would have nothing to cry over and yet I just felt depressed. Or maybe little things that normally wouldn't bother me I'd cry about. My point is, you're not alone and people have been there before.
1) Go to sleep at a scheduled time. Don't sleep too late and don't wake up too late. When you do go to sleep fall asleep right away. Don't let yourself just lay there so you have an urge to cry. Clear your mind and concentrate on your breathing or something to help you get to sleep.
2) Don't mope around all day. You need to keep yourself busy. Clean your room, watch a movie, go out with your friends, do community service, bake something. Do things that make you feel good or do things that will help others. With a busy and happy life you won't have time to feel sad.
If you ever feel like hurting yourself or doing something serious you need to get help. No question about it. If your depression persists and it doesn't seem to go away, perhaps you have imbalanced chemicals in your brain, or whatever. This isn't your fault, but with the help of a doctor and prescribed medicine you will be balanced and feeling better. So those are some things you will want to consider.
