do not do anything until you are sure that you like him. the worst mistake to make is to tell someone that you MIGHT have feelings for them. just go on like you usually do, and if your feelings get stronger towards him, then tell him.

Hey i have that same problem but im going out with someone and i want to break up with him so i can go out with my guy best friend !!! My guy best friend is really flirty we got in trouble because we were talking and going out the PE door and wasnt supposed to !! I would say it is because ya`ll are such good friends but i really dont know because i need help on that to but i got a bigger vibe than you because when i told him i had a boyfriend he looked down and looked really sad!! Then didnt talk to me for the rest of the day and he gave me his phone number !! You should like replay all the stuff ya`ll do in your head and try to find more i like you things he does !!

It's possible that he likes you, but you should definitely think about things before you have a more serious relationship with him. If you two are good friends, you don't want to ruin that relationship.
