Shopping, clothes and stuff

Question Posted Saturday July 23 2005, 8:02 pm

Okay so I have a little brother who's only 11 and ever since I started caring about what I wore and shopping and all that stuff like in the beginning of middle school he has too. Like when started shopping at Abercrombie & Hollister he started to also. I think that's cute and all but he cares a little too much because recently every time I get a new piece of clothing whether my parents bought it, I got it w/ my money, a giftcard, or even a garage sale he freaks out and says that I have so many clothes and bla bla bla. The problem is that he has convinced my parents not to get me any more clothes for a long time and I REALLY need them. How can I convince them that I really do need more clothes??

This may take awhile, but go through all of your clothes. All the ones that oyu never wear, are ugly, and such send to goodwill. Then show your mom/dad all the empty drawers! And..if you're really pissed, show your closet compared to his, I bet they will deffinently see who doesn't need clothes for a long time =P. Good Luck! ♥

wear the same thing for a couple days (but stay inside the house!) and tell them that you have to cuz you don't have enough clothes. or start doing your laundry like every other day and when they complain about you using so much of the detergent tell them its cuz you have to keep washing clothes so that you have some to wear!

start wearing the same thing every so often then talk about how your friends were saying theres asale at .... then ask if you could maybe go and check it out and if your parents say yes then you can go and then find an outfit that looks so good on you that way your mom will say maybe we could get this one outfit or what ever this works on my mom also my dad doesntlive with me so its easy to get money from both to go shopping but maybe you can do little jobs around your house and ask to be paid for them then you can buy your own clothes back to the firts thing i said after wearing the same outfit even tough it gets kinda ewwww..... after a few time you just want to wear something else point this out like saying gee these jeans are starting to get worn out the more comits you make it becomes obvious so only a few every so often and make it about the same clothes like consintrate on one outfit for like 2 days hopefully this works
hope i helped love talktome224

Try to get a job. Tell your parents that they can't jus listen to your little brother because its not fair and I know things aren't fair in life, but hey he's not a girl. Girls need more things than guys. Hello he's 11 years old and I dont know how old you are, but its not his life its yours. Why does he care about you having so much, he just wants your parents to stop buying you stuff so he can get stuff too. Try talking to your parents. Hope this helps!

Well, you could just ask to do some extra chores around the house/ yard to make some money from them. Just tell them you want to work hard, earn your money, and spend it responsibily. Then go buy the clothes yourself. But I would sugguest, buying less Abercrombie cuz they cost alot just for a shirt that says abercrombie.

Do you have to wear the same thing more than once in a week to get by?

No?

You don't need more clothes.
