wont heal

Question Posted Saturday July 23 2005, 12:12 am

On April 2ed I got my ears pierced for a second time (second holes) well they still haven't healed yet. The girl said when she was done 6 weeks but its been about 4 months. My first holes healed kinda slow too but not this slow. Do you think there is something wrong? Or maybe there is a way to speed it up.
P.S. I didn't use any solution to clean it after I got it done other than peroxide it every few days, if that helps.

I have mine doubled, too. The second hole does take more time because the skin is thicker. Hope I helped!

They should be healed by now. Start using the solution the piercer gave you and that may help. My ears are tripled pierced and so is my left cartilage and when I used the solution, they healed. For now, use Neosporin. It'll help and it works. If it doesn't heal soon, you should go get them checked.

Sometimes, if you don't clean it every day, it stays moist inside your ears and then they don't heal as fast. Start cleaning your ears once in the morning, and once at night. Use peroxide in the morning, and though it might burn, use rubbing alchohol at night. That will help dry it out, and help it to heal faster. But you have to stay dilligent about cleaning them! Hope I helped!

Try using Neosporin or another antibiotic cream. Do you turn the earrings daily? My ears tend to heal slowly when I get them pierced but I've found not using peroxide (It seems to dry them out.), making sure to use antibiotic cream, and turning the earring several times daily all help them heal faster.

After 4 months, they should be healed so you might want to get them checked.

That's all I used. If they don't heal soon you might want to check with a doctor. Until then keep cleaning them with peroxide. They really should have healed by now. :)
