Like if your hair is damp, you apply lemon juice in the morning and go out in the sun all day, by nighttime you will see it being lightened. You can still swim with it in your hair! And I actually SUGGEST putting your hair in a bun and spray the top of your head with the lemon juice, that way when your hair is down, all the front peices will be lightened! good luck. xO_thAtS_hOTt_Ox answered Friday July 22 2005, 6:59 pm: heyy! well think of it as like a tan for your hair, only your hair is getting lighter! it doesn't really matter how much time passes before you swim..think about it..does it matter how long after you swim when you suntan? and i mean, there's no like certain time after till you notice results; it works for some people, it doesn't for others. usually if i'm on the beach for awhile (with lemon juice in my hair) i dont really notice it getting lighter, but like later in the day i'm like, "wow i got some sun on my hair today!" lol. and finally, I usually keep my hair down when lemon juice is in it so I can try to get more sun on my entire head, but if you want to put it in a bun, it doesn't really matter.
good luck! and if you have any more questions just ask!
IPIiINIkI_my_anti_drug answered Friday July 22 2005, 4:55 pm: Hey:
1. if it worked, it will take a day or even 1 hour to see the results, if nothing happend you should re-do the lemon juice.
2. 24 hours so the lemon wont come out of your hair; or you can sleep with the lemon juice and take a shower in the morning and the results should show if not re-do it.
