Karen answered Friday July 22 2005, 12:02 pm: I have dark brown hair and there are definitely advantages with having this hair color. It does bring out your eyes, depending on the color of your eyes. If you're tan, your whole appearance will look better with medium or dark brown hair. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
Lachiquitaloca9 answered Friday July 22 2005, 10:29 am: In my opinion having medium/dark brown hair is such a great advantage. Without make up and some work I can look pretty average, well like the typical brown haired brown eyed American girl that I am. However, with a little make up you can give yourself a more exotic look. It helps a bit if you're a little tan too, but I'm usually pretty fair skinned and still can work it up. The point of creating a more exotic look is to make you stand out more and look different from the rest. Most people are attracted to what is different and unique (and pleasing to the eyes as well of course). Right now, well for a while now, Indian (as in from India) and middle Eastern looks are popular. Clothing, jewelry, etc. and this look is amazing on brunettes. Lots of color and beading. Clothing and accesories are so important to accent your makeup. (Sorry I'm rambling). Anyways...I'd suggest highlighting your eyes. Not with bright colors, but rather dark. A nice dark eyeliner and dark eye shadows (with a light shade brushed just below your arch in your eye brow, that will make a nice contrast between your dark eyebrows and your dark eyes). With dark hair it is also key to keep your eye brows nice and neat, since any stray hair shows. Back to what I was saying about clothing and such, some nice big colorful earrings...Chandeliers styles are gorgeous, will complete the look. This of course is pretty much a look for a special occasion/evening out, although you can tone it down for the day. To sum it up...dark liner around the eyes to make them stand out, if you have nice almond shaped eyes accent the curves of your eyes...and keep your eyebrow nice and neat, also I find after applying eyeshadow, use your mascara (Very important to use mascara. Sometimes just a little foundation, eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss is enough) and gently and carefully brush your eyebrows to the proper position. Not only will that hold them in place, but it will make them a little darker...if your hair is lighter brown, do NOT use a black mascara, get mascara to match your hair color. I hope I was of some help. take care. [ Lachiquitaloca9's advice column | Ask Lachiquitaloca9 A Question ]
southsideboy answered Friday July 22 2005, 10:04 am: No it doesn't bring out your eyes that only works for white people and truthfully and honestly seriously not being rude but only in your case it brings out your ass and your sex appeal really it's true that's the only advantage that we black people have just like for a man it brings out his d**k.

Teza answered Friday July 22 2005, 1:33 am: It does bring out your features. I used to have dark brown hair and it made my eyes seem darker and bigger. But now I have light brown so it doesnt as much. If you wear a lot of bold accesories it will look fabolous. `` ♥ `` [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]

hopeihelped answered Friday July 22 2005, 12:41 am: Medium/dark brown hair? I, personally, thinks it brings out your eyes if you have really dark eyes. It also, I think, makes your lips look redder. And most importantly, people won't call you a ditz before they even get to know you! Isn't that wonderful? God, I'm glad I'm not a blonde...
