Question Posted Wednesday July 20 2005, 1:13 pm

Hey there ♥ well im not really into stereotypes but basically, my boyfriend is punk, along with his friends. and i am not really preppy or punk or anything, i am just me. but i am friends with his friends and his friends are in a punk band and my boyfriend said he really wants me to go, and so do his friends. the problem is i dont want to wear something stupid, or "slutty" looking and i dont want people to think " why is she here?" so what could i wear.. i have long platinum blonde hair with lots of pink and auburn in it. and i am 5'4 and average with slightly curvey body ... what could i wear or put on for makeup and how should i do the hair? thanksss<3

Wear regular jeans, a black t-shirt if you have, black eyeliner and if you have a spiked/studded bracelet wear that too =) But to be honest, it's really not a huge deal what you wear because you shouldn't let what other people at the concert think about you bother you at all. You're just going there to watch your boyfriend and his band and have fun! You could also just wear your regular clothes. Not all people who listen to punk music necessarily dress to fit their taste in music, so I'm sure there would be a few people there who are wearing an Abercrombie or American Eagle shirt or something.

Well, since your boyfriend is a little punkish, why not dress up like that for the concert? Maybe you could wear some old jeans, kind of rip them up a little. Like the jeans that are out, with the holes in them? You could wear a bright shirt. Green, orange, yellow, pink? Maybe you could go out and buy a new shirt. If you have a store called the Garage, they have a lot of punkish stuff. If not, just find a bright shirt with sayings on it. Or, you could always make a shirt and put some safety pins on it. For your hair, do it all crazy. You could put it up in a clip or in a messy bun. Then curly a few pieces, crimp some other pieces, wave a few other pieces, and then leave the rest straight. For your make up, do it how you would normally do it, but put on a lot of eyeliner. I hope this helps you out a bit. Have fun!
