YOUNG AND CONFUSED
okay, well ive known this kid nick for about 4 months now, and we like eachother alot. but his best friend john keeps getting in the way, making up these incredibly stupid lies, and trying to get me and nick mad at eachother. i want to be friends with both of them, and sometimes i dont know who to belive. they both sound so sincere, i love nick, and i want john as a friend still... any advice?? please say yes =(

im pretty sure john likes you as more than a friend,...and doesnt know how to just tell you that. Or maybe he just doesnt think this nick kid is right for you, and hes being protective...either way he MEANS good...he just isnt going about the right way of showing you.

How can you think John is sincere if he keeps making up lies and telling them to both of you? You need to confront John about this, and tell him that you really like Nick and want to be his friend, but you also really like him and would like to keep him as a friend. As well as that, you need to genuinely express that his lying is not a good thing, and that it is tearing your friendships apart. Good Luck. :)

well you should say nick is what john saying true if he says it isnt well you should say back you kno i like you alot want to go out
then you should talk to john and be like heyy john stop interfeering in me and nicks lives and lets just be friends and see what he says ok the phone or aoll would be a good time to say this if i were you i would like to talk to both

Yes, as a matter of fact I DO have advice for you.
Tell John that you are going out with Nick, and if he can't handle that, he needs to leave you alone. He doesn't need to be spreading rumors/lies about you so Nick will hate you. Nick likes you, you like Nick and he can't do anything about it.
Tell him, "I want to be your friend but if you keep trying to make trouble, I don't see how that will happen."
If he's really immature, he may not understand you but if he's understandable, self explanatory.
This should work... I guess you would call this having a... heart-to-heart thing with him. lol.
Just try it!

Hey!! If you ask me, John is jealous of you and Nicks relationship. Give John a little more attention than you usually do, but dont make it seem as though you like him. After a while break it down to him slowly and hopefully he will understand that you just want to be friends with him. In otherwords:
give more attention to nick but know john is there, and in time tell john you just want to be friends with him.

if john is making your life miserable, then you should tell john to back off. i know that you want him as a friend, but he is trying to tear you and nick apart. no friend should do that.
tell john to either shape up or get lost.
