I think I am addicted to video games. I am 14/F and it's sad but true. What do I do? I mean I don't mean to be, I never finish my homework. (During the school year) I have not eaten in days. I don't know what to do, I need help. I am playing and typing at the same time right now!
Please help with my disorder.

Itz_your_luckee_day answered Thursday July 14 2005, 2:31 pm: this is a tough one to break but its totally normal a lot of kids go through this. When you're not playing the video game you're probably thinking about it in your head so instead of playing it on the tv/computer go ahead and do it yourself. for example if you're playig an NBA game go outside and play basketball with some friends. Active addictions are way better than technology addictions and you can get way more fun out of it too. If that doesn't work then try to use the game as a reward... after you finish homework you can treat yourself to a game. As for the eating problem just tell yourself that after you finish that level you're going to go get a piece of fruit. Games can also build stress if you don't win so instead of waiting for yourself to win take a run outside... its sounds weird but it will really calm you down and its a chance to get you outside. This won't be an easy habit to break so you really have to commit to decreasing game time. good luck
