Hey ia m 13 and I think alot about guys and little about God and I know it is nomal for a girl to thinka bout guys butit is not good to do all the time how can I get my mind of f guys and on God.

As a part of the way God created you, you have a curious mind. You also have raging hormones right about this time in life. (If they're not so raging yet, trust me, they will be.) God created those hormones - He had good intentions, I suppose - and He understands all about you and them. I've never been "boy-crazy," I've always been more in touch with my spiritual side than most girls my age, even when I was younger. Now that I have a boyfriend, I also find myself thinking about him frequently, but he isn't my "god of the day." Don't get me wrong here, I love my boyfriend. But, he's not God. I need (or, want should I say) time each day to talk to my boyfriend, my girl-friends, and my other guy-friends, and so do you. God understands that. Do you know why God created Eve? It was so Adam could have a friend because he was lonely! God understands that the human body longs for another human to converse and do earthly things with. By "earthly things" I mean activities such as bowling, movies, mini-golf etc. God also wants us to be HIS friend. To be honest with you...

Become BEST FRIENDS with God. Let His arms be your shelter, your hiding place forever. God created boys, and not surprisingly, He understands them. He understands our fascinations with many things... boys, cars, horses, technology, sports -- anything. God wants to hear everything you've got to say. This means about boys. Yes, boys. Tell God you want to spend more time on Him and less on boys. God'll give you some ideas. Though, a good way to spend more time on God is to PRAY alot more, read your Bible alot more, and go to church if you don't already. I pray constantly... probably 50 or more times a day. Prayer doesn't have to be a 30 minute long conversation... prayer needs to be alllll day thing. You see someone who looks sad, ask God to comfort them. You see a homeless person, ask God to bless them and soothe their minds. You see a druggie, ask God to help them overcome their addiction. You see someone who is just happy to be alive, thank God for them! You see a hurt puppy, pray for it. You see a sick cat, pray for it. You see a baby horse running in the pasture... PRAY FOR IT! Everything is to be prayed about. Thank God for the mud in your front yard, thank God for the birds in the air... anything and everything. If you don't understand something in the world, talk to God about it! If you do this, and read at least a chapter of the Bible a day, you'll find yourself thinking alot more about God, and alot less about boys.
