Okay...i need a little advice on something. I go with somebody and i have liked him for a while but there is a little problem. My youth minister at church gave me a book on dating a couple weeks ago called "I Kissed Dating Goodbye". It talks about your relationships with God should come before dating and ppl now days date for the wrong things such as sex and they don't want to make a commitment. Well i'm not all sure i still want to date this guy now because of the book. I kinda just wanna take a break from dating and just form friendships, but i don't know how to tell this guy. I don't want to hurt him in anyway. Please help me decide what to do! Should i dump him and if so how should i tell him?THANKS!

this is difficult...
Your relationships with god are veery important but its how you feel about it...and it looks like the book was published by an author that is single and his or her experience with dating. That may be just a thing of dating she had.
But if your wanting to just form friendships it may be hard to let the person you love go.
So
heres where i would go from here.
you can tell him that your not comfortable with dating because your young and they didnt have that at school wen my dad wuz in school. they jus had friends. you can do that.
Or you can forget the book and pretend it wuz never brought to you but im sure that wont happen
U can just not have sex and go with him until the end. If you date by not the wrong things then its ok because there isnt any other reason to not be dating. but this is continuing the date not formin a friendship.
the best way to not hurt his feelings is be his closest friend and tell him your not comfortable with dating. what i mean by closest friend is that you can still hold hands if you want, hug him if you want, or even kiss him if you want.
U can tell him just to not be technically dating just being boyfriend and girlfriend until its ok.
But the book seems ok. The things about god is true but the author doesnt seem to like the date he or she was on.
I thought of the most possible ways good things can happen so i hope this helps!!
