ok, well, im a christian. and i look at the horoscopes ALL of the time and im starting to think that there true. but my mom says its bad and i dont know how they r bad. how r they bad and is it really gonna affect my relationship with god?

its that bad, just dont take them to seriously. but gods not gunna punish you for thinking that the horoscopes are ture, unless you live your life depending on them.

no i dont think it would ruin your relationship at all. most horoscopes are fake anyway. if it comes true its really just a coincidence,they are just for fun so u can keep reading ;-)

Your mother is correct. Horoscopes go against Christianity. Horoscopes are a faith, worshiping the stars. The stars were created by your Creator - God. If you're worshiping the stars - which were created - you have an idol. Which, by the way, is confronted in the First Commandment. (Exodus 20)
God is a jealous God, if you're worshiping something He created, He becomes jealous that you're not seeing what is true and false, and that you're worshiping something that has no effect on you. How are the stars going to save your butt if you're in trouble? Can those stars forgive your sins? Did those stars die for you? Did they rise again from the dead? Do those stars perform miracles? ... <b> NO! </b> Does Jesus have an effect on us? Can He save your butt if you're in trouble? Does He forgive your sins? Did He die for you? Did He rise again from the dead? Did He perform miracles? ... <b> <u>YES!!!</u> </b>
Why worship the creations when you can worship the Creator?
Astrologies and horoscopes are ocults. Man made, devised by the Devil. Worship the Creator, do not worship the Devil and his wicked ways.

hey i guess i see what you mean by like thinking that the stars and planets are controlling you and not god? sorry if thats not right. but just dont take them too seriously and explain that you dont to your mom. usually people MAKE the horoscope true by being like 'yeah i guess he was like my real love' or whatever if your horoscope said your real love said hi.
i really wouldnt worry about it and i think that you can always have a good relationship with god no matter what you have done right?

their ok for a while until you dont really need them anymore but that time you'll find your self so if they're helping you at the moment the just keep reading them but i guess later one you'll just not need them as much. I read mine every day and i mean i guess im just waiting for something to happen :P

well i dont really get it. its perfectly fine to look at horoscopes. i guess just dont think it will all come true. && dont live your life by it. God will love you no matter what, && personally i dont get what she means. but maybe ask her why she said that. but dont worry it wont affect your relationship with God!

They're not really bad. They're not even really real, and this is coming from a Pagan. They're fun and harmless and not a big deal at all. The only reason she thinks they're bad is because when Christianity replaced the old religions, they demonized everything else so that more people would decide to be Christians. It's no big deal. I like to read horoscopes and compare them to how I really feel. I was reading a Zodiac book and the description of Cancer women (that's my sign, not my disease, btw) was pretty accurate for me. That's cool and all, but I don't take it too seriously. Though you can make a lot of money being an astrologist. Remind you're mom that there are a lot worse things you can be doing than reading out of the "fun n games" section of the Sunday paper. She definitely needs a reality check. I've heard of people freaking out because they found incense and pentacles in their kid's rooms, but horoscopes? Get with the times!
