ask her out a little while after. not rite away. if she is like really depressed about it, then be there to comfort her. hangout with her. talk to her. let her talk about him as long as she wants ( even if you get tired of it ) then gradually she will begine to like you. and then you can ask her out.
( belive me i know this stuff .. this is what i want my bestfriend to do when i break up with my boyfriend )
