BurnieMac answered Tuesday July 5 2005, 12:57 am: I play football, and we've done many exercises to get faster. The best and quickest way to get faster is to run. Running sprints will be the thing that works best, but there are many supplement routines that can be done to aid in speed as well. I don't know if you've ever seen speed shoes, but they are very good at increasing speed. They have padding on the front of the shoe so that whatever exercise you do, you have to stay on your toes. Your calves get built up, and anything that strengthens your calves will make you faster. If you're looking for sprinting speed, you really can't do much better than getting out there on a field and running sprints; don't go crazy with it and overtrain, or you'll just feel tired, and you won't get faster. Oh, the speed shoes are perty expensive($75 or more). I hope I helped. Friendly advice from Caleb.
