how long does it usually take for symptoms of STDs to show up?

usually about a week afterwards, but note that some disease are asymptomatic so you may not even know you have one (gonnarhea is like that).

I googled your question and it said for most STD symptoms occur 1-14 days after you 1st get it. HIV though takes a little longer and you need to be tested for it ASAP.
