mushoku answered Thursday June 30 2005, 5:44 pm: That depends. If you define a cherry being popped by whether the hymen has ever broken or not, go see a gynecologist. If you define it by sex, then if you've never had sex, it's not popped. If you define it by penetration of an object large enough to break the hymen... it's only popped if that's ever happened.
Chances are that even if your hymen has broken, it doesn't mean much - you're still likely to bleed your first time, unless you masturbate often, in which case it depends what you use, how you do it, and how agressively you do it. [ mushoku's advice column | Ask mushoku A Question ]

Yes, it IS tRue that it can 'pop' by EXTREME spoRts and such.. but it's wayyyyyy moRe UNLIKELY than LIKELY. Honestly, just assume that the hymen has not been bRoken yet, because that's pRobably the case... Hopefully this bRings some ReassuRance. :D [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
HyperactiveMiss answered Thursday June 30 2005, 5:01 pm: If you've ever seen a bit of blood on your underwear (Not from your period), you'll know you broke your hymen. Plus, it should hurt a little when you break it, so if you don't know if you did, you probably didn't. There's no way to check to see if your hymen is still there yourself, but if you want to know you'll have to check with your doctor or nurse.
