hi i was the one who asked about the aim and the away messages kicking me off. well i typed regedit and everything and it wont let me. this thing opens up and its black and makes a weird noise and just closes. i know how its supposed to be because i used it before but i dont know what else to do! it always kicks me off! what can i do? help! thx

You can always try deleting your screen name from your computer. When the sign on window pops up before you sign onto your screen name, go to your screen name so that it's highlighted and press 'Delete'. This should get rid of your away messages but your buddy list won't get deleted.

If that doesn't work, then you could always uninstall AIM and then reinstall it but that may also not work.
