im about 132 lbs. 13 yrs old and around 5'1". when i wake up every morning i look really thin and good. like in a healthy way. but by the end of the day i look really fat. this happens every single day. i wake up looking good and then i go to bed looking like i gained 10 lbs. i feel like if i try to starve myself ill either stay thin or lose a lot of weight but when ever i try to i just eat like a pig no matter how much i remind myself of the things people have said to me about my being fat. help please. im desperate. thanks

smile_liku_mn_it answered Tuesday June 28 2005, 1:47 am: i struggled with that too... in fact i kindof still do! im also 13, i weigh 125lbs and im around 5'4. i always compare myself to the "popular" girls at school and it makes me want to cry because i think i'm so fat. but looking back when i was in 2nd grade, i started to get heavier and heavier and in 5th grade i was 118lbs... which was really overweight for my age... so it makes me feel better that i kindof thinned out a bit and didn't gain as much as i thought. my best advice to you is that (if you do)you should stop comparing yourself to others who might be slightly skinnier than you. also, when you say you wake up skinny and at the end of the day you look fatter, its because of your water weight... trust me. it's a girl thing :P... what i've been doing is before i eat something, i look at the calories and the fat on the food. your days meals should add up to be around 1,400-2,000 calories per day. EX: if you eat like a double-cheeseburger from mcdonalds that is like 700 calories... that's almost like half of your days calories... so the rest of the day you should try to eat something healthier and less fatened. you should also try to eat small portions and not huge ones. its better to eat more small portions than it is to eat less huge portions. switching your soda's to diet and even water like i've been doing helps too... and excerising 3 times a week for atleast 3 months will defenitly lose you weight. my mom and I are doing yoga and pilates, buns of steel (haha) and abes of steel. you could try those if you'd like, they really help! hopefully i've been helpful :) best of luck!
cookierat123 answered Tuesday June 28 2005, 12:58 am: alright, dont sweat it, because im gonna give you a fact. well, when you(and everyone else in the world) wake up in the morning they weigh less then they do at night because everyone has to eat and it makes them gain alittle weight. its perfectly normal. my advice to you is DONT STARVE YOUR SELF! you should eat some healthy snacks and do some fun sports during the day like rollerblading or ridding your bike.

Anyways, calm down. There are alot of things that you can do to help.
*1 - Try eating healthy foods that will fill you up, but is totally great for your body.. such as Cantalope, apples, Carrots, and other fruits and veggys.
*2 - STAY AWAY FROM THE JUNK!! In order to feel good about yourself, you have to eat healthier.
*3 - Starving yourself is not the answer. When you starve yourself, your body yerns for the nutrition of food, and when your body cannot get those foods, it will start eating your fat to the point to where you can pass out in the heat, and your body cannot absorb the important things it needs to run proberly.
*4 - Dont listen to what other girls or boys say about you. You are who you are, and they should accept that, because if they dont, their not worth it.

Dont starve yourself because that will just make you more hungry and dont care about what other people think of you. If you really feel bad about your weight...go on a diet nothing big just more vegetables and fruits...not to many fruits b/c fruits have sugar and sugar turns into fat.But yes diet is the way to go. Look it up on the internet they have all different kinds just dont starveyour self. Hope this helps.
frenchfries21 answered Tuesday June 28 2005, 12:30 am: i know how you feel with the food thing. but, if you even could starve yourself, dont. its really really bad for you and only bad stuff happens. you either end up starting to eat again and then you gain alot of weight, or if you starve yourself for long enough, you will die. but back to your original question, try to do stuff to keep yourself busy so you'll forget about eating all the time. and get yourself away from the food. like try hanging out outside sometimes instead of being indoors, and bored. good luck!
