MFS answered Saturday June 25 2005, 2:21 pm: There are a number of differnt things that a bump on the breast can be. First thing to ask yourself is: does it hurt. If this is something that you are certain you didn't have a few days ago, then it is likely not a tumor. Breasts are filled with lots of glands - they can swell as they grow, and having your period can cause swelling in the breasts as well.
When in doubt, though, call your doctor and at least talk to them and see if they think you should come in to have it checked out. It is mostly likely nothing, but it can't hurt to know for certain. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
