I think it's because you changed your encoding, so it doesn't work because it contains special characters that show up differently under other encodings.
Try changing your encoding.
If you're using Internet Explorer:
View > Encoding > Choose "Western European (ISO)"
If you're using Mozilla Firefox:
View > Character Encoding > Choose "Western (ISO-8859-1)"
