HELP
mmk, so i really need to go to my friends house really bad because we havent seen eachother in forever...(okay okay like 1 week but ya no, its my bff) and my mom wont let me ebcasue she says that i have to stay home with my sister. my sister is 10 and isnt 10 the legal age to leave ur kid home? well i need reasons...like why i should be able to go...im already gonna clean the house and everything...I need advice FAST!! PLZ HELP!!

My lil sister is ten too and she stays home by herself if i want to go somewhere.. my mom called our distract police and they told my mom if my mom thinks she is responsible enough to not burn the house down or anything then its okay for her to stay home during the day by herself.. tell her you want to be able to do things and not be in the house all summer babysitting and cleaning.. tell her its not your job or child to be watching her all the time.. if you want to see your friend so bad why doesnt she just come over your house.. ♥ Dez

why dont you just tell your friend to come over to your or something or go to the movies and bring your sister, your friend, and one of your sisters friend so she can hang out with her friend and you can hang out with yours

well it is a legal age when i was ten my mom would give me a key to the house and i would stay home for about 2 hours by myself till my sista came home

show your mom that your sister can be trusted alone by suggesting that at first she hire a baby sitter or that she spends a day alone with your sis(tell your sis to make a good impression for your mom) i wasnt aloud inside the house alone after school until i was eight, but i no moms have different opinions. If your mom let you in the house alone at the age of ten, tell her your sister is just as responsible in ways like this.

actually the legal age is 12 where i live (canada). you could always ask your mom if your friend could come over to your house, that way you'll get to see your friend and there will be two of you to watch your sister. personally i think that 10 is a reasonable age to leave a child at home alone, i was left alone at eight and im fine. if you have already tried that and your mom wont agree then why dont you try to get your sister to go to her friends house for a day and go over to your friends for that day? good luck.

You can always ask your friend to come over to your house while you are watching your sister .. That way your doing what your mom tells you and still seeing your bestfriend.

i'm seeing all these 12 and 13s for answers..but me and all of my friends started staying home at 10..and babysitting at 11..i don't understand the whole 12/13 thing. that is very old to start staying home alone.
