Depressed?

Question Posted Monday June 13 2005, 7:59 pm

i dont no why but i feel so depressed/sad.its probably the fact that my school has teams and i just moved this year to this new town and they have teams for grades. 9th grade-aqua,silver,yellow teams.i am afraid im going to be separated from my friends, and be left out! Since i only no the people from one team,i'll have to start all over. I feel sad and i have been praying for at least a month for me to get on at least one of my good friend's teams. how can i make myself not sad or at least less sad..theres only 9 1/2 days left of school and they send a letter of what team you are on on the week befor we start. I think my ultimate thing that i dont want to happen is have this girl on the team all my friends are on,and become there good friends..while im left behind..i also fear that i'll have to be on this girls team that i dont want to be on. I dont no why im so depressed about this. What should i do ? Im so lost

if you get on your friends' teams... be happy.
if you don't get on your friends' teams... be really happy.

in middle school i hung out w/the same people all the time... then in high school i got into different classes than them and i was afraid they'd get closer and i'd be left out, but now i still hang out w/ them on weekends and i have a whole other set of friends who are way more fun actually... and really hot boyfriend. so just dont be shy and talk to new people.

and in the meantime... don't stress about it.

"Men worry enough for 1000 years but they only live to be 100"-- chinese proverb.

sorry about the quote... i know that's kinda weird. lol.

Hey. I'm not really sure what the team thing is about, but it sounds like a good opportunity to start talking to some new people and make some new friends. I understand you feeling worried about it, sometimes it's not easy starting over new with a bunch of people you barely know. But you should just try being yourself and be open to making new friends. I think you’d feel better about it if you went into it thinking about all the new friends you can make. And who knows? Maybe the friends you already have will be on the same team! I'm glad to see you're religious. God won't give you anything you can't handle. I hope you get on a team with your friends, and remember think positive and try to make some new friends on your team! Feel free to write me if you need to talk. Good luck!
