abercrombiebarbie answered Tuesday June 14 2005, 11:31 am: Gatorade would do the trick. What they said down there, try using a tampon, because thats what they are made for too. Also, try calling your parents and if they don't answer, then call 911 if its really serious.
sunshine1232 answered Monday June 13 2005, 7:55 pm: for one thing don't freak out cause you will make yourself sick then you already are open all the windows in the house if you have a celing fan turn that on turn on all the fans that you have in your house get a cloth put ice in the cloth and lay down put it on your forehead that way it will cool you down drink lots of fluids since you don't have air conditioning in your house call one of your neighbors and go over to there house if they have air conditioning they will understand if you tell them what the reason is wait till somebody gets home in your house just sit down and relax. hope you feel better :) [ sunshine1232's advice column | Ask sunshine1232 A Question ]

Mackenzie answered Monday June 13 2005, 6:28 pm: Take a bath; it'll help cool you off and aid in the asistance of cRamps, if pResent. I undeRstand how you've been dRinking tons of wateR, and yet you STILL feel dehydRated, but you MUST keep dRinking it. Also, some oRange juice oR GatoRade will thoRoughly help the situation. And do you own a table fan you can sit infRont of?? OR sit infRont of an open shadey window hoping foR a bReeze. You could also take a wet wash cloth and eveRy so often Run it along youR face, neck, and behind youR eaRs; but I stRongly encouRage that bath!!! Hopefully this was of SOME help!! Feel betteR soon!! :) [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
karenR answered Monday June 13 2005, 5:56 pm: Just because you're having your period doesn't mean you can't take a bath. Go ahead and jump in. Make it cool since you have no AC.
Drink some Gatorade or one of those sports drinks. Or maybe some 7-up and crackers.
xXxpinky615xXx answered Monday June 13 2005, 5:42 pm: Even though it doesn't appear to be working, keep drinking fluids. Throwing up like that is really bad and in this heat it makes it even worse. Go into the coolest room in your house, put on a fan, get some ice and keep it on your body to stay cool. Have you tried calling your parents and telling them what's going on? Try drinking juice instead of water because that usually helps a bit. And screw the fact that you have your period. Go take a cool shower. People DIE from dehydration and you really need to cool yourself down. Either you take a shower or you get yourself to a hospital because that is so dangerous. Whatever you do try to drink fluids as much as you can. When your parent(s) get home let them know whats going on because you might need to go to the hospital because seriously, the heat affects you SO bad that way. DaysGoBy answered Monday June 13 2005, 5:40 pm: Well, water WILL help... Just drink more of it. And why can't you take a bath? You don't go a week without taking a bath do you...? Do you have a fan? Turn the fan on and have it blowing on you, drink water, and get a damp wash rag and put it on your forehead or the back of ur neck and lay down and watch TV or something...
----EDIT----
Being on your period shouldn't stop you from taking a bath. In fact, many girls take baths instead of showers when they're on their period because it's better for cramps... You shouldn't ge a smartass when people are triyng to help you. :-) Hope you feel better soon. [ DaysGoBy's advice column | Ask DaysGoBy A Question ]
